I am catching up, woohoo !!!!! Here is the latest challenge at Whiff of Joy Challenges. This challenge fell on the 29th so Jane came up with a super idea to theme this challenge on the word L.E.A.P, so that means:

L - Lace
E - Easel Card
A - Animal
P - Pink

I had fun with this one and it was great to make another easel card. Sorry about the pics, they are not the best quality I took them early in the morning and it wasn't very bright :(

Lime Tart February Gallery - 2

Sorry I have been so quiet and its been quite a while since my last post and 'visiting' everyone's blogs. But life does throw us some challenges and I had my hubby in hospital for a week and in another town so the kids and I packed up and went on a little adventure. We drove 905km on our own to go and fetch him when he was discharged from hospital, this part was actually quite fun! I will share some pics but first I have the rest of my Lime Tart DT layouts from February, using the Full Tart.

I know this is already a picture heavy post but I just have to share two pics from our trip. Firstly, this is pretty much the scenery and the road, it just goes on and on..............first big trip on my own :)

And then one with the kids and I at a quick stop on the side of the road, we tried our best to get us all in and take the pic at the same time! I am not looking so glam but hey I had already driven for quite a few hours already :)

The latest challenge at WOJ Challenges - #123 is up and Jane has designed a gorgeous sketch to play with.

I used one of the new WOJ stamps that was just released yesterday!

I used Basic Grey papers and finished it off with Wild Orchid flowers.

The new stamps for February are now available!!! I have used 'Easter Parade', I love these little chicks with Henry.

And a close up of the gorgeous image, I coloured with Copics.

And finished off with some flowers and sentiment.

I know you are all waiting to see this months Whiff of Joy Previews but today I just had to share this card with you. Today is our wedding anniversary and this is the card I made for my darling hubby using 'Henry with Large Rose', this was last months release.

Lots of flowers, pinks and red ....... very romantic but hey its a special day I can get away with it for a male card, right?

I also used Whiff of Joys 'Vintage Postcard' stamp, I love this one too!!

Whiff of Joy - Black & White

The new challenge at Whiff of Joy Challenges is Black & White images. I like black and white images and I don't mind colouring them but I don't do it often so this challenge was great! I inked up another of their latest release 'Love is in the Air' and coloured with Copics.

I used Authentique 6x6 papers, Wild Orchid flowers, some lace and ribbon from my stash and a Basic Grey paper clip - sorry don't know what it is called!?! Yip, I am determined to use my stash.........LOL

Memories

I am back with another layout. Now this one has kept me busy for quite a while now as there is a lot of fussy cutting and stitching, I didn't think I was going to finish it in time for the challenge but I have with a few hours to spare :)

I used Lime Tarts October Full Tart kit that was packed with Glitz Design Papers and these gorgeous butterflies!! Some close ups of my fussy cutting and some of my stitching.

This sweet little face is my DD when she was not even two yet, you can just see some milk on her lips.... Oh how she loved her baby bottles of milk, we eventually had to take the baby bottles away and that was not an easy task! So I have added some journalling on the back of the layout about it.

This is the photo inspiration for Glitz Design's January challenge. As you can see for the design of my layout I took inspiration from the round mirror and the gorgeous cluster of christmas decorations.

I need to use up my stash of Glitz Design papers....have you seen their new ones?? Oh my how am I going to choose?!?! Thank you for popping by and for your lovely comments!

Lime Tart Gallery 2

I hope you have all enjoyed your weekend, they do go by so quickly. Ours has been very busy with the kids going back to school tomorrow, I have been covering books, marking stationary and the list goes on..... So I thought I would have a break and post the rest of my projects using Lime Tart's a La Tarte.

Here is another layout of my DD when she was younger.

This gorgeous key comes in the kit, I added some white acrylic paint to the key and gave it a light sanding.

I had a bit of a play with the Crafter's Workshop templates, love the splats!

I made a set of three cards and used the canvas tags that came in the kit, I removed the stitching , separated the two pieces and used them separately. I made a rose and fussy cut some flowers and finished them off with a sentiment using the stamps again. Simple but I love the end result!

And a closer look.

I received my February kit on Friday, its sitting on my desk and I can't wait to play - it is gorgeous!!!!!!!!

At Last...........

I think it has been months since I have entered a challenge and it certainly feels like it. So this week I had some time so I decided to have a go at this months sketch at My Minds Eye blog, I love circles plus the theme is 'New'.

This is my DD just a few weeks old, where does the time go? It is so nice to go back and scrap old photos because it brings back so many memories, aahhh those new born days are so special!!!

I hope you are all having a good weekend, life goes back to routine this week with school starting and all the extra activities the kids do ***sigh***

Lime Tart's January Gallery is up, a bit late this month but pop on over, the girls have outdone themselves again!

I got to play with the a La Tarte, it is so yummy!!!! It is very versatile, great for the girls and boys in your life. First up is a layout of my family taken in 2008....we need to update our family photos ;)

The kit comes with a gorgeous set of Hero Arts stamps, perfect for scrapbooking and card making.

The next layout is of my eldest boy who is such a darling child, shame he is sick and awake at the moment, thats why I am up so late doing this post. I hate it when my kids are sick :(

I won't overload you with too many pics so I will be back with some more. My February kit is on its way to me, I can't wait to play and let me tell you the February kits are stunning, you will want to get your hands on them! Thank you for popping by and for your lovely comments!

This is the latest challenge this week at Whiff of Joy Challenges - #121 Love is in the Air and of course I had to make my DH a valentines card using this gorgeous new Henry, shhhh don't tell him ;)

I used some papers from my stash Pink Paislee Internal Love, I always start out so good at the beginning of the year using up my stash, hopefully I can keep it up this year.......lol. Some WOC flowers, Maya Road chippie heart, Tim Holtz ticket, some pins, lace and pearls from my stash.

Just a quick post tonight with some layouts and OTP's that I haven't blogged yet. This one is full of yummy Prima, I love Prima's resist canvas!!!

This is also Prima and was for one of the challenges at Stuff 2 Scrap. My DT term ended the end of December and after much thought I decided to say my goodbyes, it was great getting to know you lovely ladies and I will still see you around blog land :)

And journals, I scrapped the covers for a personal touch. I love doing these and they are great for using up your stash!

Whiff of Joy Challenges has their first challenge of the year - Challenge #120 Charms & Bling. I have used a gorgeous mini stamp, Henry with Love Balloon.

I paper pieced his heart balloon and coloured Henry with Copics. I couldn't resist making some clouds for Henry to float in, I used Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. The papers are Basic Grey Curio, flowers are Wild Orchids and Kaisercraft and the other bits are from my stash.

Whiff of Joy Advent Calendar - Day 11

Welcome to day 11 of Whiff of Joy's Advent Calendar, I am so excited to be hosting today's window and I have a little project to share with you using 'Oh Christmas Tree'.

I found a 15cm x 15cm chipboard album in my stash so I decided to make a mini christmas album. I have finished the front and back covers and will add my pages and photo's as the month goes along for a special gift for family that live very far away.

I used Copic markers to colour my stamped image and finished the tree of with Distress Stickles - Peeled Paint and dimensional pearls.

This is the inside of my front cover and I made a pocket to slide in any special cards or notes.

The back cover.

And I finished it off with a bit of lace, a button and some twine.

I am a bit dissappointed with the photo because its so much prettier in real life, the weather here hasn't played nice with my photography skills............lol. I can't believe its almost December, if my head wasn't attached to my body I think I would loose it at the moment..........LOL. Today I rushed off to pick the kids up from school to get them to their optomerist appointment to discover its next week Friday........LOL.

Oh well, at least I won't forget :) This week Lime Tart gallery went up and another fantastic month of inspiration, so pop on over here. I got to play with the Half Tart, it sold out quickly again but if you looking for one, pop on over here because I have some Christmas Blog Candy :) :)

For this LO I used the die cut in the kit as a mask and sprayed some glimmermist, love the subtle effect.

This is my new Whiff of Joy Banner die - love it!!!

Showers of Love

I am back with another card today, I finished it a few days ago but I have been sick this week, so glad to say I am feeling a bit better today!!! I used the gorgeous new stamp from the kit, this sweet boy - Christmas Treasure. You can now purchase the stamps individually.

But I made a birthday card for my little boy who will be turning 7. There is a bit of christmas holly on the present but I thought I could get away with it because he is a December baby!

I based my card on Pink {Ink} Sketch Challenges - Sketch #10 - Kathrin's sketch.

I am back with another gorgeous new stamp from Whiff of Joy, this little cutie is Henry the Mouse - Dancing with the Gingerbread Man.

I coloured Henry with Copics and and added some stickles to his christmas hat for some sparkle :) I decided to use lots of red to get me into the christmas spirit - love these christmas papers. And a close up of Henry.

Sorry I have been a bit quiet but had internet issues - AGAIN but they seem to be fixed - YAY!!!! But I hurt my hand yesterday, nothing is broken just badly bruised and thank goodness its my left hand so I will be back with some more WOJ cuties soon!!!

I wanted to get this up sooner but we have had terrible storms and my internet died a sudden death again. We had a power outage for hours tonight, so it was heaps of fun trying to get the kids to bed plus we have guests at the moment - I love electricity!!!

Bright Sunny Yellow!!

Yellow has never been a favourite colour of mine but the new gorgeous MME Lost & Found 2 Sunshine range just might change my mind! This gorgeous paper and this months challenge at Kraft It Up inspired me to create this layout.

Of course some close ups of some of my favourite embellies :)

I found some really chunky glue dots in my stash and I love them, they add so much dimension! So I have popped my little Prima flower on one and the mini Melissa Francis mini tag. The crochet circles are from Lime Tree Creations, the mini rose ribbon is Maya Road, the brads and buttons are MME.

I left the Stuff 2 Scrap chippie raw and popped the hearts up with my chunky glue dots.

The large Prima flower I gave a good spritz of Sunshine glimmermist for a rich and sparkly yellow.

Love the new Prima Alphabet Stickers!!

The Kraft Clock is Maya Road and I am finally using up my Pink Paislee Stash of Artisan Elements :)

Its certainly 'sunny' here, it was still 43 degrees here at 5.45pm!! Thank you for popping in and make sure you come back next week, I will be having an awsome christmas blog candy to give away :)

Stamping & Bleaching

Sweetest Thing

I finished this LO on the weekend and I didn't know If I was going to make it on time because my phone and internet died on Saturday but they sent a technician out today and I am back! How I missed the cyber world.....lol.

Mother's Love...........

I loved the inspiration pic this month at Lets Get Shabby Challenge #28 and you had to use paint and flowers to. What do you think?

Here is my layout, this is my DH when he was just a new little bub in his mum's arms. Ssshhh.....I added the year in there, can you see it? I wonder if he would be happy with that.....lol, oh by the way he is quite a few years older then me ;)

I used a mixture of goodies on this LO, the papers are Graphic 45, Kaisercraft and Glitz, I did some spring cleaning of my scrap goodies and its amazing what you find! Odd pieces of paper that can be used for background/base and ones I still liked, I kept aside and this one was perfect for the challenge and went great with the G45 paper! Some Prima alphas - new fave, Pink Paislee Artisan Elements, muslin and Stuff 2 Scrap chippies. The heart chippie is a border I cut, inked with Distress Ink, some white acrylic paint, a good spritz of Glimmermist and my heat gun - love the finish. The Story Block tucked under my photo has been painted with Distress crackle paint - Picket Fence, oh and I painted the edge of my layout all the way around with some crackle paint to.

WOJ - Anything But Square plus * Exciting News!!*

This weeks challenge at Whiff of Joy Challenge is #115 - Anything But Square so pop on over and have a look at the gorgeous inspiration from the DT. Here is my card, I inked up the sweet WOJ Little Mermaid from their Princess range and made a round card.

I coloured her with Copics, fussy cut her and popped her up with some foam dots. I inked the background with Distress Ink Tumbled Glass and using a cloud template I hand cut, made some clouds and the water was coloured with Copics and finished off with a coat of Dimensional Magic.

I went through my stash and added some Prima flowers, the round swirls have been fussy cut from MME Hattie papers and of course finished it off with some shells - alot of dimension on this one :)

Now some of you may have noticed already but I have some super duper exciting news to share with you!!!! Did you notice the new little blinkie in my sidebar? I am so excited to be part of the super talented Whiff Of Joy Design Team. I have always loved Whiff of Joy stamps and thank you Katharina for this wonderful opportunity!!!

I have been playing with Prima's Printery Collection, it is just gorgeous and perfect colours to scrap the 'boys' in my life! This LO is of my DH and eldest DS going for a walk together, its an older photo but I love the moment I captured, holding hands and being together. His dad is his hero and it is so sweet to watch :)

A close up of my DA chippie flourish and little bird, I inked them with Distress Ink Frayed Burlap, some Snow Cap acrylic paint, good spritz of Tattered Leather glimmer mist and my heat gun - love the finish.

More muslin tucked away - love the texture!

Sparkle and Swirls

Whiff of Joy Challenges has another fantastic challenge - #114 Sparkle and Swirls. Here is my card with another gorgeous princess.

I have stamped swirls around my stamped image and machine stitched all the way round. And my sparkles are there, I promise but they are not showing up to well in the pic. I added stickles to the flowers, the edges of my stamped image and the butterfly.

My Sweet Girl

Two posts in one day!!! I had the day off work today and its the last day of school holidays for my kiddies so the morning we spent relaxing, while they watched some cartoons, I did some scrapping :) Another new challenge for me, Helmar - 'Stick with Helmar in September'. They have a gorgeous sketch and to use their featured product - Glue dots, its awsome stuff!!!

And a close up of my gorgeous DD and you can see I stitched all my circles twice plus all the way around my layout so lots of stitching, distressing and inking - all of my faves :) And Helmar's glue dots were perfect for my butterfly wings!

What a Challenge!!!

For the first time I had a go at 123 Challenge and this months challenge was

Word - On
Colour - White
Technique - White Space

and I thought it was a great challenge and it is but wow was it hard for me!I always admire those layouts with lots of white space and minimal embellies, they look so striking. But I wanted to keep on adding .......... lol. I even added some colour - beige/light brown, so its still subtle. So enough waffling, here it is....

And some close ups, not many as the technique is white space.....lol

I have used a bit of this and a bit of that, some yummy new Prima, Collections butterflies, Prima stamps, Martha Stewart tags, Kaisercraft frame and doilie, ZVA Creative pearl swirl which I cut and finished it off with some hand stitching all the way around.

I am glad I persevered, thats what a challenge is about afterall? I am pretty happy with it now :)

WW1 - Miracle

Its been such a long time since I played along at WW1 and it was so nice to do one of their challenges again. This month (I am on time.....lol)the theme was white+pale pink+journalling on photo. Here is my layout.

This is my DD when she was just born, this layout is about her being my miracle. I had a long and difficult labour with complications and she was born by emergency caesar. We are so blessed and grateful that she is healthy and when I finally heard her cry it was such a relief and an amazing feeling. I will someday do another layout about her birth with more details but it will be private journalling ;) So she can know just how special she is! And some close ups....

I nearly went the whole day thinking it was Tuesday!!!! OMG....how did I do that? But at least the weekend is going to come sooner for me :) Thank you for popping by and for your lovely comments.

Pink & Pretty

Time for some pink and girly post :) I have been playing with some new stamps from Whiff of Joy, their Princess range. They are beautiful in their flowing dresses and delicate details. Here is my card 'Princess for 1 Day'.

I have coloured my princess with Copics and most of her dress is blue so she really stands out amongst the flowers, it looks like she is singing in a beautiful flower garden :)

I have used Authentique Uncommon papers and have fussy cut the roses and layered them, here is a close up.

And a close up of my sentiment, which I stamped, distressed and then sewed as well.

I am entering my card into Whiff of Joys challenge #113 - Janes Sketch. I love her sketches!!! Did I tell you I was in the top 3 for the previous challenge 'Pink & Pearls' for this card...wooohooo :)

And before I go I have another quick card I made for the office where I work, for someone who is getting married this weekend. Simple, plain and elegant but I love the way it came out. The bird cage is Kaisercraft which I painted white and finished off with the rose and butterfly.

Boys!!!

As you know I have two boys and they are very busy little boys, always on the go! Even now that they are a little bigger they still just as busy and love their sports!! But they also get their fair share of bumps and bruises. So the layout I am sharing with you today is of my eldest son when he was little and if you look at his forehead, he has a nasty bump - typical of boys I guess!!

I have used a word chippie from Stuff 2 Scrap - 'Tough' and thats what boys are,they just get up and keep going :)

I am not so sure about this LO, I think its a little different for me but I am happy I have scrapped some more pics of my boys and I guess with boys LO's they tend to be a little less busier. Anyway I used the sketch from Get Picky, love their sketches!! And I have been a good girl and trying to use up my older stash, the papers are My Minds Eye.

Sweet Baby Angel Face

I have another layout to share........it feels like its been ages since I've joined in some challenges with moving and life just getting in the way of crafting.....lol. But this month I have been able to do a couple :)

This is for this month's Kraft It Up challenge - Kraft, Fabric & Stitching. So for those who visit my little blog regularly know I LOVE stitching!!! And I used some muslin for my fabric - stitching and muslin = a perfect match I think :)

And a close up of the gorgeous chippie from Stuff 2 Scrap, I painted it with some gesso and then stickled it!

The photo is of my youngest son, aaawwww he was just the sweetest bub!!!

Spring Time!!

I did it again.......lol. Yes, I loved Nadia's sketch at her challenge blog Once Upon a Sketch but never posted it on time, never mind I still love the sketch and I am happy with my layout :)

I used a Stuff 2 Scrap piece of chippie - Flower Border #1, which I cut and then painted with Distress Crackle paint. I then added them to my clusters of flowers, with Spring I felt like lots of flowers :)

Yep I did it again, I leave my post to the last minute and just get my entry in on time..............lol. Its been a while since I've played along with some challenges, with life just being busy at the moment but on Friday my new Whiff of Joy stamps arrived and I just had to make time to play :) So here is my card for their current challenge - Pink & Pearls, which is about to close ;)

I don't think you can get any 'pinker' than this but I thought hey lets make her beautiful dress a bright pink, after all she is a princess!! Even my DD commented on her bright pink dress...........lol. And some close ups.

I have been playing with my Lime Tart kit, I received the Half Tart and it is stunning. A gorgeous combination of colours - so fresh and pretty!

Today I shared this layout on Lime Tart's blog. The pic is of my DD and DS, isn't it sweet? I hope they will always stay close to one another.

Today I have a tag to share and I love how it turned out. But first, it was my turn to post on Marker Monday over at Lime Tart and I shared some info and pics on how I stamp my images so if you are interested then pop on over here.

I have used Whiff of Joy's 'Willow with Hot Chocolate' and coloured her with Copics of course! For my round tag I used Spellbinders Lacy Circles and added lots of layers :)

A couple of close ups, there is patterned paper and even some hand stitching but you can't see it because of all the yummy layers - so much fun to make!!!!

This mini creation was great fun to make especially when you are a bit short of time, think I am going to make a couple of more to add to my collection for quick thank you or birthday cards! I would like to enter my tag into Whiff of Joy's Challenge #111 - Tag You're It!.

I have a layout to share with you today, I have used Stuff 2 Scrap chippies Scalloped Border by Leeann Pearce and Hearts #001. The papers are MME Lime Twist, bright and pretty but I think I am leaning more towards rustic colours at the moment maybe because its winter.........lol

The pic is of my DD when she was little and I have used the quote from Scrap the Girls -Children need love, especially when they do not deserve it. ~Harold Hulbert

I couldn't imagine it any other way, I will always love my kids! We have also taught them to always be honest with us even when they know we might not approve of their choices or actions, I hope they will always have an open relatonship with us even when they get to the teenage years :)

The Lime Tart Gallery has been up for a couple of days already and if you haven't been to have look then you missing out......lol!! It is filled with gorgeous inspiration and beautiful projects.

I got to play with the A la Tarte, I love the colours and has so many gorgeous bits and pieces.....stunning!! It had a 6x6 MME Lost & Found Union Square pad but I still did two layouts, so I will share these with you first and then my cards. Oh it also had the most gorgeous background stamp, the finish is like fabric - beautiful!!

This a photo from our last family photo shoot in 2008 just before our big move, I can't believe how time has flown.
