Herbie

My youngest has always loved Herbie so when he turned four I made him a Herbie birthday cake and I wish I could show you some of the videos from that day because he loved his cake so much, he didn't want anyone to touch it!

I used my Full Tart kit, some texture paste and added some stars to my background with some glimmermist.

Look at my sweet boy, where does the time go!?!

Some close ups.....................

Well that is the last from my Full Tart kit and I am busy playing with my September's new kit - it is gorgeous!!!!

I will be back with a WOJ card - soon!!!

Thank you for stopping by and for your lovely comments.

'You'

Lime Tarts Full Tart kit this month is perfect for parties and celebrations but with the gorgeous floral patterned paper I couldn't resist creating a pretty girlie layout of my girl.

This pic was taken in January last year while we were on holiday.

Lots of handmade flowers, banners fussy cut from the patterned papers, layers of the gorgeous papers and finished off with a bit of washi tape, cute little butterfly and buttons - I love the colours!

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you are all having an awesome week!

Mini Paper Bag Album

I have lots of projects to share with you from my Lime Tart kit this month but I have been a pretty slack blogger this month. Its just been one of those crazy months but hopefully after next weekend it will slow down. So I thought I would quickly share my step by step post with you over at Lime Tarts blog, I had so much fun with this mini album and the Full Tart kit was perfect to record my daughter's birthday!

The great thing about a paper bag album is it is really quick and easy and has heaps of space to add tags, extra photo's or little keepsakes.

For some more pics and to see how easy it is to make a paper bag album, then pop on over to Lime Tart's blog here! Can't believe how big my 'baby girl' is getting, no more little parties with little games or jumping castles, so I wanted to make her this little album to record her first 'big girl' party.

I will be back soon with the rest of my projects, hope you are having an awesome weekend!

Whiff of Joy August Blog Hop!!!

Welcome to the August Whiff of Joy Blog Hop!

If you didn’t come here from the lovely  KARINA'S blog, then head on over to the start of the hop at Whiff of Joy World of Ideas Blog,. I don’t want you to miss a single stop on this hop!

Our newest release has a baking theme. We have our sweet Maya and some of her friends in the kitchen preparing some yummy treats and of course our beloved mouse Henry dons some chef attire too! As well, we have new sentiments, a wonderful (and much needed) numbers stamp set and some amazing new dies!
This month the Design Team wants to inspire you to go beyond cards!  You will find a wealth of ideas along the way and we hope that it inspires you to try out new techniques or create something different. Whiff of Joy has a wealth of products that allow you to create whatever you can imagine!

A complete list of the hop can be found at the   Whiff of Joy World of Ideas Blog, just in case you get lost along the way!

I have used the gorgeous new Maya stamp - Muffin Robbery and I have decorated a tin of lollies.

I so enjoyed this little project, I think I will decorate a few more!  Once the lollies have been eaten, you can use the tin for anything - a perfect little gift!

The tag is also a Whiff of Joy die and so is the twine Whiff of Joy. The papers are Glitz Design, flowers from Wild Orchid and the doily, lace and pearls are from my stash. Maya has been coloured with Copics.

And a view from the side :)

Thank you for joining us on another awesome blog hop, your next stop is the lovely JANE'S blog.

Lime Tart - August

This month's Full Tart is perfect for birthdays! I have been having heaps of fun with this kit, here are some pics.

The kit included some paper bags but I have kept them for something special! So I dug through my stash and found a bigger paper bag for my gift.

And if you are not a singer, cut out the 'happy birthday' song from the patterned paper and make a personalised card.

And what is a birthday without cake? This kit is full of party images so it makes making cake toppers and flags simple and easy!!

And my darling girl has just celebrated her birthday, I can't believe how quickly the years fly by, 11 already and it just feels like the other day she was born!

Thank you for popping by and for your lovely comments, hope you have an awesome weekend!!!

Hearts and Kraft - WOJ Challenges

A new challenge went up at WOJ Challenges - Hearts and Kraft. I had a go at a simple card and stamped and coloured directly onto kraft card stock.

I am not to sure how I went on the simple side!?! My fellow WOJ DT Alice does the most amazing cards with such simple finishing touches but they are gorgeous and just have that WOW factor! So I decided to give it a go........here it is!

And a close up of my little cluster with my heart!

Hope you can join with this challenge, we would love to see your card!

Thank you for stopping by and for your lovely comments!!

Lime Tart - July 2

I can't believe we are in August already!?! We have another birthday just around the corner and I have just the perfect kit in my hot little hands to scrap with :)

But first here are my cards from July's gorgeous A La Tarte. To create this soft romantic feel I simply stamped with a pale coloured ink on the same coloured card stock as my card, cut them out and adhered the hearts to my card to create a beautiful background.

The tags are included in the kit, so beautiful!

I got a little creative and made another card creating my background by repeatedly stamping the same stamp  in two different colours and finished the background off with some stitching.

The butterfly and sentiment are from the stamp set included in the kit.

I made a set of simple cards with some fussy cutting and 3 D tape to add a little something special plus some handmade flowers and leaves!

Well that's July over but before I go here is August's Full Tart.

Isn't it perfect for parties and celebrations?!?!?

Thank you for stopping by and for your lovely comments.

Lime Tart - July

I have been sitting in the dark for a couple of hours with the kids, there was a major power outage where I live. And oh my goodness when I went into town to get some food for the kids it was crazy busy!!!! I am obviously much happier to have power again - what would we do without it?!?!?!

I got to play with the gorgeous July A La Tarte from Lime Tart, it was beautiful with so many yummy elements to it. Tomorrow is the release of August's kits and if you keep your eye on the blog this week you will get to see lots of details and info on these kits - they are beautiful!!!

Ok, back to the pics of my July kit - A La Tarte.

The kit included a set of beautiful Unity stamps with gorgeous images and sentiments.

It also included a full pad Carte Bella 'Beautiful Moments' and the cover of the pad inspired this layout.

Even though the papers were 6x6 which are perfect for cards, you can still scrap layouts! Here is another layout, with a special note to my darling girl.

These embossed envelopes are stunning and perfect for hidden journalling.

Some bunting made from scraps and inspired by one of the patterned papers.

The heart and flowers have been stamped, fussy cut and added to the cluster of embellies.

I will be back with my cards and don't forget to have a look at August's new kits at Lime Tart - you won't be disappointed!

Thank you for stopping by and for your lovely comments :)
