Some Dusty...

Ok, so July hasn't been a fantastic month but August is around the corner, I know its going to be busy (again) but lets hope its a good one!!!!!!

Didn't get much scrapping done but I did get to do the 2 challenges up at Dusty Attic, there is some awsome prizes to be won and the work there is amazing! So pop around and have a peak, you can click on their blinkie on the side of my blog. I really do need to learn how to post a link here???
The first is a sketch challenge...

The next challenge was to scrap your scrapping spot, here is mine....

The DA gate opens up and in there you will find my pics. Someone said my little room and yes it is little, its the veranda that was enclosed in for me and I am supposed to get half for me and the other half for DH but I think I am slowly taking over! Oh, getting off track here....anyway said it was clean and organised, well I took the pics while it was messy.....LOL. I had to be honest, didn't I?? The plastic containers is because we have a huge amount of dust where I stay so this way everything is protected and I can see it easily. If anyone has some storage or handy scraproom tips, I would love to hear???

I have finally gotten around to finishing this layout for Scrap the Boys, it has been sitting on my desk for days. I think I have caught every bug or virus thats going around this past week!! Hopefully all these 'bugs' have left for good!!!!!

The challenge was to used stamps, I had great fun with this and finally got around to using the goodies I won from SBM and Scrapbook SuppliesOnLine!!

We had Jayden's birthday party this weekend and he chose an easy cake this year, heres a quick pic!

Sad Time............

I haven't been around much lately but its been a sad time for our family. Our precious little kitten that we took in and only had for a month at home with us, died last week. And although for some, a month is a short time...she really was a big part of our family and dearly loved! So I have done a layout in memory of her and even though it was hard for me, I am glad I did it......

I used the Prima July BAP sketch for this. We are still finding her marbles around the house, that she loved to play with! The kids say she has gone to kitty heaven, bless their little hearts!

TFL....

Scrap the Boys!!!!

Its been wet and freezing cold these last few days, finally the sun has come out!!! So I have a load of washing on (still a mountain left to do...)and I thought while the sun is shining I quickly snapped a pic of my layout for 'Scrap the Boys' challenge blog. As most of you know I have a daughter and 2 boys but I seem to have more girly pages so I was thrilled to come across this blog and decided to join in the fun....

It was a nice easy challenge this month 'Just the Facts', my eldest son turned 7 last week so I thought it was a perfect time to ask him some questions. The two that made me giggle were..... when I asked him what work I do, he sat thinking for a while (thought he might pop out with 'scrapbooking' and DH was standing right there....LOL) and said 'helps everyone'. Isn't that the sweetest and when he grows up he wants to be a footy BOSS!! Big dreams my boy has :)

TFL and for your comments, I love reading them!

Baby of the family.....

This is the latest addition to our family, needless to say she is the baby of the house! Not sure how old she is because she was a stray that we took in and she was born in the wild, the first few days she was nervous but now she loves to cuddle on our lap....so cute!

Now onto some scrapping.....how gorgeous are these Dusty Attic pieces???

I had so much fun accessorising this dress form and even made the little beaded necklace!

I painted the picket fence white and ran it through my embossing machine to give it the wood grain effect and then a good spritz of pearl misting. The song bird I painted and then stamped music notes on (Prima) and heat embossed it - so much fun!!

Have a fabulous weekend & thanks for popping by, I love reading your comments!
