Simply Maya and her Ladybug!

I created this shaped easel card last month with Lime Tart's April A La Tarte, its actually my first shaped easel card, had heaps of fun!

The sentiment is from the stamp set in the kit and I clustered some flowers and finished it off with some butterflies and pearls.

I decided to keep with the gorgeous tone of the colours in the patterned paper, so I coloured my image with Copics E40's range, I love the monochromatic finish. This cutie is Whiff of Joy's 'Maya Watching a Lady Bug'.

Lime Tart - Cards

I can't believe it is April already and Easter has come and gone! However, in our house we still have what seems like an endless supply of chocolate - oh dear :(

With my March Half Tart kit I created a set of cards and a gift box to pop them in.

An inside view!

The top of the box is pretty simple with some handmade roses to finish it off.

I kept the cards simple as well, this way is quick and easy to create a heap of cards and by keeping the design basic, they are easy post and can be used for a variety of occasions.

I am off to finish cleaning my desk so I can finish my cards, I have been playing with WOJ's April release and they are gorgeous, can't wait to show you!

Lime Tart - Love

Back again with another layout using Lime Tart's gorgeous Half Tart.

This photo was from a family photo shoot back in 2008, how time flies!

I made heaps of roses from one of the sheets of patterned paper, I wanted to keep the colours of my layout pretty neutral and subtle.

I layered my photo on a doily, love the delicate touch the doily brings to this layout.

I had a bit of fun with this one, I played with some textured paste and a Prima stencil and finished off my background with some Distress Ink once it had dried.

Randomly added some white mini roses amongst the beige/cream roses and added a simple tag with the word 'love', I think that's all I needed to sum up this photo. My family is love and mean the world to me!

I don't think my photo's really capture this layout, it is so delicate and pretty and I love how it turned out. But somehow I think I just took pretty poor photo's, oh well I probably need to brush up on my photography skills............LOL!

Thanks for stopping by and for your lovely comments, I hope you have an awesome long weekend.

Lime Tart - Beautiful

I am so behind in blogging, well basically everything at the moment! So I am quickly popping on to share some photo's of my creations with Lime Tarts Half Tart, another gorgeous kit!

Loved the gorgeous combination of colours! For the background I used one of my new stencils by Prima and Distress Ink Tattered Rose.

The doily's are included in the kit and they always add a beautiful finish to your projects, I used it as the base to my little cluster and title.

A close up of the seal and some hand made roses.

I made a tag to add some personal journaling, this photo is from her 11th birthday last year.

Another close up, I fussy cut some circles from the patterned paper and layered them randomly around my layout.

Thank you for stopping by, I will be back with some more using the gorgeous Half Tart.

Romance

I can't believe February is nearly over already! This month was our wedding anniversary plus valentines so lots of love to celebrate and I had the perfect kit to work with, Lime Tart's A La Tarte.

This photo is of hubby and I all dressed up, our darling girl took the photo. The papers are Authentique 'Lovely', so pretty and I love the texture of the papers.

Included in the kit is Glitz Design paper layers, I fussy cut the old type writer and added it to my layout, I thought it went perfectly together with the patterned paper.

The gorgeous stamped heart is a Hero Arts stamp (included in the kit) and there are four different hearts. I added a touch of pink to the linen flower and finished the cluster off with some flowers.

Tucked in some muslin, button twine and machine stitching for some extra texture.

The quote is cut from the bottom of the Authentique papers.

For the edge of my layout I stressed, inked and layered papers and muslin.

The A La Tarte is a really beautiful kit to work with.

'Love You'

The A La Tarte is full of romance but the combination of colours is one of my faves and I had this gorgeous photo of my youngest son I have been wanting to scrap for a while so I layered, inked, stitched and created this.

I used one of the heart stamps to randomly stamp on the vintage tag and finished it off with some button twine and a key and lock I fussy cut from the patterned paper.

Another heart, stamped in red for love :)

Strips of script washi tape and some distressed flags and button twine.

Deep in thought, my sweet boy.

Lime Tart Layouts

I am quickly posting my layouts from Lime Tarts January A La Tarte before I head off to hospital with my eldest son, he is going to theatre and I need to keep myself busy :(

This kit was beautiful and elegant so of course I had to scrap my darling girl. Fussy cut some of the circles from the patterned paper and loved these kraft butterflies!

My gorgeous girl on her 11th birthday.

The stamp is included in the kit and this particular one is great for stamping some foliage to create a base for some layering of papers and yummy washi tape.

A tag for some hidden journalling and stamped again to create some unity.

Some more layers, stitching and title.

The next layout of my girl again. Sorry - the pics are not so good!

Fussy cut more circles and hand stitched around them.

Pretty trim included in the kit, I did stamp some flowers on the strip of patterned paper but I should have used a darker shade of ink because you can barely see it.

And my title which sums up my girl perfectly, she is beautiful inside and out!

Thank you for stopping by, I will be back tomorrow with my first WOJ February preview, you are going to love the new release!

And have you seen the new kits at Lime Tart yet?

Lime Tart DT

I have been quite a bad blogger this year and a little missing in action, I wish I could say it's because I have been scrapping up a storm at my desk but unfortunately its just the normal daily things that have got in the way. Nothing major, just all a little time consuming, hopefully I will get to play at my desk in the next few days and I have just received my February kit from Lime Tart, the A La Tarte.

And I still need to share my January projects using the gorgeous  January A La Tarte. First up are some cards.

I created the background with 3 different colours of Distress Inks and some water, let it dry and then stamped the floral image.

The kit included these gorgeous kraft butterflies by Maya Road.

Another card with the same technique and Distress Inks, so much fun!

I kept the design of the cards pretty simple to keep the main focus on the stamped image.

Another card but this time I used the kraft butterflies to emboss my background.

The 7Gypsies scalloped circles are included in the kit, I stamped the image and blended some Vintage Photo Distress Ink over the whole circle.

Thank you for stopping by, I will be back with my January layouts using this gorgeous kit.
